Rufus not a possible senate contender in 2016?

Cagayan de oro city: Saying he will not qualify himself for higher office in the 2016 national elections, incumbent 2nd District Congressman Rufus Rodriguez adds he will stay at the sidelines then, reports DxRU-Radyo Ultra.

Although his decision is still to be formally discussed with party mates, Rodriguez, this early, has openly declared his intention to take it easy for the next three years.

With so many things to happen in the coming months, it’s still two years too early and the rumor mill have it going that the congressman will possibly run for senator or mayor.

“Iyang gikumpirma nga human sa iyang termino, mopahulay una siya sa tulo ka tuig ug magpaabot na lamang siya sa kabubut-on sa publiko kon mobalik pa ba sa politika,” reports DxRU.

Representing Cagayan de Oro’s the second district beginning in 2007; he admitted that he would not wrestle the mayorship of the city come election since he saw the present administration’s good governance.
