CAGAYAN
DE ORO CITY: Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-10) agents arrested a
female cop here during a buy bust operation Tuesday morning.
PDEA-10
named the suspect as SPO1 Nancy Peralta, 44, assigned at the Macabalan police
station.
Narcotic
agents confiscated from Peralta 16 sachets of what appeared to be shabu, an
illegal drug, totaling to 15 grams with an estimated street value of P75,000.
Apprehended
with the police officer are her companions identified as Rodel Castillon and
Arlen Lindongan.

Regional Director Emerson Margate said his operatives caught the three suspects
as they were about to begin their "shabu" session inside the cop’s
residence at Silver Creek subdivision in Brgy. Carmen.
Margate
added Peralta’s activities were monitored since last year as one of those
allegedly involved in illegal drugs and that her arrest has no connection with
the apprehension of another retired policeman last September 24.
Peralta,
it was learned, came from the Agora Police Station but was transferred early
this year and is facing administrative cases for having been absent without
leave (Awol) and negligence of
duty for failure to report since Sept. 1.
The
policewoman confessed to reporters she was a user, but denied being a drug
dealer.
