K9 handler hurt in bomb blast receives P50K Zambo chamber

ZAMBOANGA CITY:  The K9 handler who sustained injuries in the Nov. 9 twin bomb blast at the city proper is up for more benevolence for his heroism.

K9 Handler PO2 Franklin Manuel Ined was tagged a modern day hero by Zamboanguenos and the sympathy and support is gaining at present.

Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation (ZCCIFI) president Edwin To with Pocholo Soliven made a contribution of P50,000 in support of Ined.

The check was personally handed over to the victim in his hospital room by ZCCIFI officials as witnessed by City Police Director Sr. Supt. Angelito Casimiro.

Soliven said that such gesture of support is a message to policemen “that they are not alone in defending and securing the city.”

“We are here to support them and we are in this together,” he said, as he promised that the ZCCIFI will provide more support for the policeman including possible special discounted rate in his hospitalization.

Casimiro for his part thanked those who supported the ZCPO, especially when there are police officers who are wounded in the line of duty.

The police director promised to work harder together with the rest of the policemen to be worthy of the trust and confidence of the community.
