PAGADIAN CITY—The labor and employment department recently ended its Service Caravan for the three districts of this province.

DOLE Regional Director Ponciano Ligutom said the Service Caravan is one of their department’s highlights for their 60th year celebration.

DOLE’s anniversary is on Dec. 8 with various activities already lined up, among them the conduct of Operation Pawis and the series of meetings with the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC).

“Our activities will maximize the public’s chance in availing benefits from our office with much easiness, especially those in the marginalized sector,” Ligutom said.

Other activities include are the film showing, open forum, and on-the-spot registration by SSS, Philheatlh, Pag-ibig, and PNRC, as well employment facilitation by DOLE staff in providing assistance to job-seekers.

Also, DOLE turned over checks worth P2,763,275 to 14 beneficiaries in the two districts composed of fisherfolks, farmers, women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
