CITY READY TO HOST LARGER CONVENTIONS WITH COMPLETION OF KCC CONVENTION HALL, MAYOR SAYS

KCC GM Mr. Shui Lam and President Mr. Rey Chiang (1st & 2nd from left) point out to Mayor Jun Acharon the state-of-art lighting and audio features of their soon-to-be-finished Convention Hall during a visit this week. Located at the third floor of the KCC Mall of Gensan, the cavernous air-conditioned hall when finished will have a seating capacity of 1,800 persons. It will have its own private holding rooms for VIP's behind its stage plus breakout function rooms. The venue's initial salvo will be the staging on September 2 of the 2007 Tuna Festival Ms. Gensan Finals Night under its event manager, Asia United Bank's Mr. Orman Manansala (3rd from left in photo). The mayor expressed his delight over this project and lauded the owners for their continued efforts to enliven the city's economy. He envisions this as a very promising venue for future conventions, seminars, concerts, and exhibits of bigger scale, among others. (cmo/aomanansala)
