Call these hitting two birds with one stone.

City residents were shocked and startled the other week after news came out that thieves barged into two lending offices, hogtied its occupants and fled with cold cash, minutes before police could arrive at the scene.

A total of P76,600 and P13,700 worth of personal belongings were carted away by two still unidentified muggers who held up the two branches of Kasanyagan Center for Community Development Foundation Incorporated (KCCDFI).

Both offices are located along Mercedez St. San Jose District.

City police operatives lead by P/CInsp. Reynaldo Maclang immediately responded after being notified of the incident but the muggers were not there anymore.

Witnesses said the suspects fled on board two single getaway motorcycles.

Initial investigations disclosed by Maclang to this paper, stated that while KCCDFI-Branch-I Manager Maricel Leopoldo Bacus and her three employees were inside their office, two male thugs suddenly entered, with one pointing a pistol at them.

Both suspects hogtied the employees with masking tape, then took the P50-thousand cash in the office, including the victims’ mobile phones.

The robbers then fled, and entered KCCDFI-Branch-2, managed by Ethel Arnoco and her two assistants, and did the same scheme, carting away P25-thousand and their mobile phones.

The victims described one of the muggers as 5’2”, medium build, with scars and wounds on his legs, wearing camouflage, green stripe polo shirt and an Islander slipper.

The other suspect, the victims added, stood six feet, and wearing red cap and shirt, brown shorts and aged 25-30.

A cartographic sketch was realeased by Maclang, based on the descriptions given by the victims, for proper information and dissemination that will lead the arrest of the suspects and for the immediate solution of the said case.
