PAGADIAN
CITY: An unknown gunman attacked and killed a kagawad of one of the villages
from this city.
PNP
C/Supt. Glenn Dulawan Dulawan identified the victim as Russel Labiaga, 35, who
was shot last Tuesday afternoon along Mayor Urro Street, Sto. Niño.
Labiaga
is a councilman of Gatas District.
Dulawan
said investigation showed that Labiaga was repeatedly shot by an assassin onboard
a white van without registered plate number.
Labiaga
was rushed to the hospital, but died two hours later, Dulawan said.
All
possible motives are being looked into by oilce at this moment in a bid to
identify the suspect, he added.
Meanwhile,
a robbery took place last Christmas eve at this city’s rotunda in Brgy. Dao.
Police
said the victim, Earl Joey B. Francia, a Glode Trez Agent was driving his XRM motorcycle
along the Maharlika Highway when two unidentified robbers on board a Raider 150
motorcycle appeared from behind and at gunpoint took his collection money.
Francia
said his money amounted to some P 20,000.
The
police are now conducting follow-up operation against the fleeing suspects.
