Tangub hosts RDC-10 meeting with Khalid as chair



TANGUB CITY: This city hosted the 103rd meeting of the Regional Development Council of Northern Mindanao (RDC-10) last Dec. 4. 

Governor Khalid Dimaporo of Lanao del Norte presided over the meeting after taking his oath as the newly appointed chair of the RDC-10.

Mayor Philip Tan is RDC-10 chair on Infrastructure and Utilities Development Committee while Mayor Nelieta Noval of Tubod, Lanao del Norte is RDC-10 chair on Social Development Committee.

The Council endorsed the integrated river basin management and development master plans for the river basins of Davao, Ranao (Agus), Tagoloan, and Cagayan de Oro.

The RDC also tackled the policy review for the improvement of health services and facilities, and implementation of the St. Joseph Housing Project Phase III in Lagundi, Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin.

The council also confirmed and endorsed two of its representatives to the Hospital Advisory Councils for Northern Mindanao MHARS-RTTH.

The body also enjoined all public and private establishments to provide service wheelchairs for disabled persons.

RDC-10 also expressed support to the 2015 cities and municipalities’ competitiveness index survey, TVET labor market information system of TESDA and the Northern Mindanao TVET labor market information council.

It also enjoined LGU and regional line agencies to provide assistance and support to RDC-10 private sector representatives’ hosting of their national convention in October, next year, Cagayan de Oro City.

Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. was recognized for his being the “Most Outstanding Mayor for 2014” by the Superbrand Marketing International, Inc.

The meeting ended with a fellowship and Christmas party while touring around the Christmas symbols exhibits.

The “Christmas around the world” theme in Tangub for this year showcases replicas of 15 countries and a mock-up of the Panguil Bay Bridge.
