Non-stop police arrests on Christmas eve


Pagadian City: City policemen arrested certain Fernando Villarcampo for the crime of alleged rape last Christmas evening.

Suspect is presently detained at Tukuran MPS while waiting commitment order to provincial jail.

In San Miguel, police also arrested Timoteo Bregola Abergas a.k.a. “Titing” during a manhunt operation in Limonan last Dec. 23.

Abergas is wanted for cattle rustling with P36,000 recommended bail bond. He is now detained at San Miguel MPS for proper disposition.

In the nearby Bayog, at Purok 4 Depore, a certain Stephen Maribao, 51, a businessman was allegedly shot to death by Reneboy Arado, a farmer.

Police said Maribao was playing cards when the suspect, armed with a handgun, arrived and shot the victim.

The victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, died on the spot while the suspect escaped.
