ZAMBOANGA
CITY: Revenue collections for this year will likely reach P400 million, LTO regional
director Aminola P. Abaton said.
Abaton
was optimistic since as of today, LTO collections in the region are pegged at
present to P396 from January to November alone compared to P372 million for last
year of the same period.
Abaton
attributes collection increase to the quickness of all district offices in computing
and processing of data.
He
said each LTO district office is provided a generator for alternative electricity
in case of blackouts which will likely cause delays in the processing of motor vehicle
registrations and renewal including application and renewal of licenses.
As
this developed, LTO-9’s Driver License Renewal Center (DLRC) OIC Hafsa A.
Taha-Aspi confirmed Abaton’s statement that sometimes their delivery of
services is hindered when electricity is interrupted.
Taha-Aspi
said her office earns P43,000 daily on office days, but if power is not stable,
collection goes down to P21,000.
LTO-9–DLRC
operations cater to the renewal of motor vehicle registrations and licenses.
