Dumalinao gets recognition from DSWD

DUMALINAO, ZAMBOSUR: For its punctual and standard submission of reports for its social pension program implementation, this town got DSWD recognition, a PIA report said.

The award consists of a certificate of recognition from DSWD-9 Reg. Dir. Zenaida Arevalo and received in behalf of the municipality by MSWD officer Lolita Jakosalem.

Jakosalem said Dumalinao has 226 senior citizens and 36 new members of the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction.

These beneficiaries receive P500 pension every month, released every quarter, is closely monitored and the checks personally handed to the recipients.

Mayor Ace William Cerilles acknowledges the senior citizens as “productive members of the community” as he cited the accomplishments of Rita Chavez, its federation president.

Jakosalem also mentioned Alberto Embudo, the focal person for senior citizens and manpower development assistant, who delivers the pension to the senior citizens.

She added the payroll and other needed documents are then sent back immediately to the regional office without delay.

In more news, four wheelchairs given by VP Jejomar Binay when he recently visited the province some two weeks ago. The identified recipients were recommended by the MSWDO.
