Dengue cases in Zambo drop

Zamboanga city: Dengue cases in the city dramatically reduced last month, the City Health noted the decrease to the media.

City Health Officer Dr. Rodelin Agbulos said that in October last year, there were 77 cases recorded but for last month there were only 61 cases, a decline of 16 cases.

Agbulos said the drop off in dengue cases was brought about by continuous clean-up drives in the community that resulted to the destruction of the dengue-carrying mosquitoes.

The health officer noted that from January until October this year, they have recorded a slight shrink in the number of dengue cases by seven from 2,559 cases from 2,552 compared to the same period in 2013.
