Zambosur PNP reports zero on stray bullet, firecracker injuries


PAGADIAN CITY: Its zero on stray bullet injury during the celebration of Christmas Eve all over the province, the PNP in Camp Abelon said.

PNP provincial director S/Supt. Sofronio Ecaldre bragged no firecracker victims were also reported so far.

Ecaldre gave his much-admired praise to his municipal police station chiefs for the job well done in implementing the “Iwas Paputok Campaign” since Dec. 15 as well as the prohibition of using firecrackers during the Christmas Eve.

Next to keep watch is the New Year’s celebration and Ecaldre is hoping that the same good news will meet his ears after the New Years revelry.

Last year, the PNP recorded one stray bullet fatality and six injuries during the New Year revelry from this city.

The DOH said a total of six injury cases were recorded last year for Zambosur while the rest of the province in the region, including Zamboanga City, only tallied one each.
