Police catch Zampen drug dealers, gang members


Dipolog City: anti-illegal drug police operatives and PDEA members arrested two suspected pushers during a drug buy-bust operation in front of Daddy Dons Pizza at Central Barangay last Nov. 26.

The arrested were identified as Jofel T. Pagapulaan, a resident of Sibutad, and Gemima Yekyek Saspa, of Baliangao, Misamis Occidental.

Confiscated from the two are small sachets containing suspected shabu, disposable lighter, three pieces of cut-rolled aluminum foil, marked money, drug proceeds, three bus tickets, and a cellular phone.

In Imelda, Zambosibugay, police arrested a suspected drug pusher after he allegedly sold to a poseur buyer some suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation inside Mavel’s Inn, in Balugo last Nov. 25.

The arrested drug dealer was identified by police Radzkumar A. Kalayakan, a resident of Malangas.

Police received a tip from an informant that the suspect is engaged in illegal drug trade activities in the said municipality.

Confiscated from Kalayakan are a shabu sachet, six rolled strips aluminum foils, an improvised tooter, a black pouch, wallet, driver’s license; two pieces of foreign currency, cash, marked money and a Honda XRM 125 motor.

In Tungawan town, four other individuals were arrested and with one dead during an operation by Tungawan police and 6th Special Forces Battalion.

The said police authorities were serving of arrest warrant against Danny “Inu” Mohammad and Jamhal “Kadil” Tarawi at Sitio Limbaguhan, Sto. Nino last Nov. 24, when the incident happened.
According to police reports, the two suspects have standing warrants for frustrated homicide and robbery.

During the said operation, one of the suspects allegedly resisted and opened fire, which prompted the said team to return fired that led to the killing of Mohammad.

Aside from Kadil, Mohammad’s other companions were arrested, named by police as Jumdani Opao Mohammad, Bernie Sahak, and Alsif Tanjilu.

Police said the arrested suspects are members of “Danny Mohammad Criminal Gang,” who yielded a caliber 45 pistol, caliber 7.62 rifle US M4, and a caliber 22.
