Police
named the victim as Helen Carbajosa, 58.
Carbajosa
was said to be talking to her cousin Arturo when gunmen attacked her at Purok
Curvada in Dao.
Carbajosa’s
cousin was unhurt in the shooting while the businesswoman was rushed to the hospital.
Policemen
investigating the case said the motive of the attack is still unknown.
In
more news, a fisherman suspected as a dynamite fisher was injured in an
explosion in the nearby Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay.

OIC information officer Insp. Dahlan Samuddin said the incident took place last
Sunday in Kalintana, Naga, Zambosibugay.
Samuddin
identified the victim as Hajirin Jainal, who was brought to the hospital for
multiple injuries.
Samuddin
said Jainal tried to grab the dynamite his son, Adhar, was dangerously playing
with.
However,
the police official said it was too late since the dynamite suddenly exploded
as it was already lighted when he seized it from his son's possession.
