Misoc bids out rehab of Clarin roads


OROQUIETA CITY: The bidding of Malibangcao-Guba-Sabasi Provincial Roads in Clarin, Misamis Occidental has been laid down.

The six-kilometer project involves movement of earthworks, preparation of sub-base and surface courses, drainage and slope protection structures, and provision of varied structures, said a PIA report.

The project costs almost P11-million and is to be completed within six months.

The DILG has made the bidding out through the Philippines Provincial Road Management Facility (PRMF) and Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID.

DILG provincial director Sanivier G. Patoc said the pre-bidding conference is set on Nov. 28, and the opening of the bids, on Dec. 11, this year, at the DILG regional office in Cagayan de Oro City.

Bidders with experience of having completed at least one contract, similar to the project equivalent to at least half of the contract amount mentioned are allowed to submit their bids.

The bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures specified in the IRR of RA 9184, the “Government Procurement Reform Act.”

It will be conducted with some exceptions or amendments as set in the memorandum of subsidiary agreement between the Philippines and Australia.
