Tryke drivers at odds on whom to vote

Tricycle drivers around the city are divided in the issue as to who should be elected as the next chief executive.

In a survey conducted by the Philippine Preview over the week, this paper sees different interactions for their preference as mayor: Priscilla Ann Co, the incumbent mayor’s wife, and Romeo Pulmones, the sitting vice mayor.

Some said Pulmones will likely win because of his affinity with his late father and his friendliness to residents while others root for Co for her tourism endeavors and her role as the current first lady.

Over all, they said that whoever among the two candidates will let them feel important will surely get their votes.

Talks from among the diverse parking areas around Pagadian mentioned about Co’s involvement in the Aman Futures scam but they said they wouldn’t mind.

Two election analysts and lawyers commented to this paper that between Co and Pulmones, they see the mayor’s wife a likely winner.

“She has a lot of money that Pulmones find it demanding to arrive at,” they said.

In the end, they proved the voting public will still have the last say.
