Zambosur highway robbers strike anew

MAHAYAG, ZAMBOSUR—Four unidentified armed men again robbed a Rural Transit Bus and took the money and belongings of all ten passengers, including that of the driver and conductor.

Mahayag police said that the robbers boarded the bus at Molave, early evening of Dec. 12, and announced their heist upon reaching Upper Salug Daku.

The passengers narrated that the robbers, armed with .38 revolvers, .45-caliber pistol and a grenade, took the P3,000 collection of bus conductor Edgar Awil and their cellphones.

In related news, three masked armed men robbed two agents of Golden Win Lending Investors based in Pagadian City.

Police said the robbery took place at Molom, Lapuyan and victimized Johnrey Coca and one Alex Cabardo who were both on their way home from Margosatubig.

The unidentified muggers took-away the P5,000 collection from the victims before fleeing away.

In Tubod, Lanao del Norte, two robbers sprayed a couple riding in tandem inside a Suzuki Samurai and took their P130,000.

Police identified the dead victims as Ricardo Lumongsod and wife Concisa.

A report forwarded to this paper is sketchy and only explained that the couple were riding in their vehicle when fired upon and that there are two other victims identified as Alexander Maghinay Rebusora and Lolita Albellar Rebusora, “also engaged in the business.”

December 9, 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon at Purok 6, Camp 5, said victim-spouses were on board a service vehicle Suzuki Samurai bearing Plate No. GGM 991 driven by Ricardo Daig heading for Dalama from Poblacion Tubod.

Upon reaching Purok 6, Camp 5 the suspects suddenly showed up and fired at the driver, Ricardo Daig, then fired again at the passengers, killing Ricardo and Concisa.

Alexander and Lolita only sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital, with Alexander dead upon arrival.

Witnesses said they saw the perpetrators flee towards Malingao on board a Kawasaki motorcycle.
