Migs grants P15.5-M to ZamboSur

Senator Juan Miguel “Migs” Zubiri pledges P15.5-million pesos for various projects around the first districts’ 26 towns including this city.

Zubiri, who visited this city last week for the 39th Charter Day anniversary, said he was happy seeing the happy faces of Pagadianons.

The senator was a frequent visitor, his first visit during the campaign sortie of Team Unity in last years May elections, then during the province’s founding anniversary in September when he crowned Ms. Zamboanga del Sur.

“I am here today to deliver my promise. I have with me the Special Allotment Release Order for the projects to I will help fund in the first district and Pagadian,” he said.

Zubiri’s pledge is at P500,000 each for school rooms and P2.5-million as initial fund for Gov. Aurora Cerilles’ gymnasium and multi-purposed building projects.

For Pagadian City, the senator said he has pledged P1.5 for Mayor Samuel Co’s housing project for Santa Lucia Urban Poor.

The Cebuano legislator from Bukidnon said that as the second Mindanao senator, he is the only one who allocated P500,000 to each municipalities throughout Mindanao for school building projects.
