ILIGAN CITY—THE Aurora Integrated Multipurpose (AIM) Cooperative expanded its operation here last week, a move “to be closer to the people,” says Pacienciano Tomarong, general manager.

The cooperative’s expansion is pursuant to a resolution approved by the annual representative assembly last March, which tackled the need to expand AIM Coop’s business operations to Lanao del Norte and to the whole of Mindanao.

AIM Coop opened their Iligan Branch last June 18. This will be their 17th branch, to be managed by Haidee Toledo as OIC branch head, along with Ma. Poinsettia Logarta as teller and Mechelle Mañada, who will serve as accounting clerk.

AIM Coop notes the composite efforts of MRED Dept. head Gay Marissa Ceniza, GM Tomarong and the board of directors for the realization of this effort.

Presently, AIM Coop has 16 branches, while its mother office is located in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, established in August 6, 1967 with 44 cooperators and a capital share of about P400.

Other AIM Coop offices can be found in Maigo, Tubod and Kapatagan, all in Lanao del Norte; Tukuran, Molave, Domingag, Midsalip, Pagadian, and Margosatubig in ZamboSur; Titay, Imelda. Kabasalan and Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay.

In Ozamiz, AIM Coop is located at Kaamiño Street.

AIM Coop services include kiddy, regular and progressive savings and Time Deposit; loans assistance like regular, community, instant, salary and agricultural loans, Loan Against Saving and Loan Against Share Capital.

It also has Cash Express “Kwarta Padala,” an Automated Teller machine (ATM) connected with Banknet, Megalink, and Expressnet; funeral services, death assistance with Cash and free funeral package, scholarship program, relief assistance and other basic social services.

Elpedio Madrio, one of AIM Coop’s director and District-10 coordinator, declared that within this year, the cooperative hopes to open branches in Dipolog and Cebu cities and in Buug, ZamboSur.
