PAGADIAN CITY: AN annual tree planting activity led by the Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (LENRO), is joined by the JH Cerilles State College (JHCSC) and provincial government employees last week at the Provincial Government Complex in Dao.
JHCSC, with main campus in Mati, San Miguel, this province and 15 external campuses in different municipalities brought 120 mahogany seedlings and planted these along the creek traversing the Biyahe Na! Zambosur site.
For the third consecutive years now, the Cerilles Administration has set an annual tree planting activity which motivates provincial officials and employees in taking care of nature and cultivate a culture of environmental responsibility.
The JH Cerilles State College officials who joined were Board Secretary Wendell Glenn Cagape, Antonio Yamba, the state college’s supply officer-designate, Joniel Calibo, staff and Gilbert Beltran, staff driver.
“Environmental responsibility is a task of everyone in the government, civil society and the academe. We are very fortunate to have been tasked to be part of this noble cause in environmental conservation and reforestation. The JH Cerilles State College partake its active role in the protection of the environment,” Cagape said.
Other officials present were Ruel G. Molina, executive assistant, Daisy Abrenica, PHRM officer, Conchita San Diego, PSWD officer, Gumer and Allan Molde, Provincial ECCD officer and PIO, respectively; PENRO Rito Ordiz and Guipos-CENRO Wilson Villa.
Milabel Alia, provincial LENRO, commended JHCSC for being an active partner for the environment and reforestation.
