DPWH to expand Zambo-Pagadian highway

ZAMBOANGA CITY: The DPWH recently said it will start road works on the highway that links Zamboanga and Pagadian.

DPWH said their move will decongest the flow of vehicular traffic coming from and going to both directions.

The said road stretch also links this city to the nearby provinces of Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Sur, an official said.

DPWH District Engineer Cholie Roble said the highway will be widened to six lanes from its present width of four.

It was learned that the project will cover a stretch of 300 kilometers from Maria Clara Lobregat highway in Zamboanga City up to Pagadian City.

The Zamboanga-Pagadian highway is the main access road from Zamboanga to the neighboring provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis and Lanao del Norte.
