PAGADIAN CITY: This city’s police station, through their Police Community Relation (PCR) and the Women’s and Children’s Section (WCS) provided meals to 163 pre-schoolers and Day-care center pupils in selected 5 villages around the city.

Pagadian City Police Station C/Supt. Glenn M. Dulawan initiated the action in a meeting with DepEd, CSWD and village officials for the activity to be held from Oct. 29 to Nov. 12, this year.

Barangay Buenavista was the first visited village and Campo Islam for the next day.

The PNP resumed last Nov. 3 in Brgy Bolatoc, Brgy Balintawak in Nov. 5 and lastly last Nov. 12 in the coastal barangay of Murikay.

The said children also received schools supplies like one pad paper, notebook, pencil and eraser, the PCR said.

During the feeding program, parents and guardians alike were given lectures on RA 7610—the Anti-Child Abuse Law and R.A. 9208--the Anti-trafficking in persons and received counseling on handling their growing children.

As an added lesson, a story-telling of bible characters was also given to the children.

The PNP-PCR feeding activity formed part of the Gender Awareness Development (Dialogue or Pulong-pulong) program of this city’s police force.
