Man hacked over Swertres row

PLARIDEL, MISOC—A man almost lost his arm after he was hacked by his neighbor over a heated argument on the day's winning combination of Suertres, an illegal numbers game.

Police named the victim as Gregorio Narlo Sumaguila, 54, a resident of Sitio Gomez, Brgy Quirino, this town.

Sumaguila is presently recuperating at MHARS-RTTH in Ozamiz City.

His hacker was identified as Rodelio Gallardo, 31, who voluntarily surrendered hours after the incident accompanied by Quirino punong barangay Felicidario Medina.

Police Inspector Abelardo Pabatang Luza explained to this paper that the two were in the heated exhange of words over the winning combination on Suertres when suddenly Rodelio hacked the helpless Gregorio who was able to parry the bolo used.
