TANGUB CITY—THE coffee table book entitled “Tangub in the Crossroad of Change” is now available and can be read in the International Library in Washington, District of Columbia after the city government sent copies of the book there.

Tangub City Historical Commissioner Narcisa Naron said the effort will help promote interesting sight in the city and invite people to visit Tangub and see for themselves the city’s culture, products and the programs.

A book written by Rev. Fr. Boy Naron, a Tangubanon, was also planned to be sent to the said library soon.

The city was inspired to donate the books after the former Gov. Alfonso D. Tan College school administrator happened to be Naron’s mentor in writing her thesis in Tangub History and first donated books to the International Library.

The coffee table book was launched by the local government of Tangub two years ago and was dubbed by the tourism department as a “big contribution” to tourism ventures.

The book also helped highlight Misamis Occidental as the top two tourist destination in the Philippines last year

Printed in Singapore, the book was a collaboration of writer Melanie Lim, granddaughter of Lorenzo and Cleofe Dy Tan, Emilio Pascual, artistic director of Sinanduloy Cultural Troupe and Photographer Ted Madamba Jr.

Researchers included Judith Bayog Tablan, Naron and Boboi Costas.
