PAGADIAN CITY—Just ten days after taking the reigns as OIC chief of police, former 905th PMG Director S/Insp. Parsons Ajijul Asadil made his mark with the confiscation of eight videokarera units and the arrest of four Suertres coordinators.

The new COP confiscated the said videokareras inside the shopping areas in Santiago District, a place frequented by children and adult gamblers.

Asadil said that he would implement the laws of the land to the letter and see to it that there will be no illegal gambling in the city despite political and social influences by known gambling lords.

“I rally the public to be with your policemen. I know that there are people who want my job controlled. Whatever happens to me, I will still do my job as a police officer,” he said.

Meanwhile, Asadil’s taking over the control of the police station does not come without a catch.

Last Thursday, Dec. 4, a son of San Pedro District kagawad identified as 19-year old Bryan Palapas was shot in the head.

Two days after, another shooting indicent took place wherein an unidentified killer shot a certain tricycle driver named Jimboy Ampaso while parking his tricycle at Agora Gate No 11.

Police are presently investigating Ampaso’s shooting with that of Palapas after knowing that the tricycle driver was said to be the one who voluntered to report to the Palapas family something he knew about in the murder of Bryan.
